Job Description

Definition of Expeditor:

 Person selected to ensure quality standards, ticket times, and good communication skills. 

Job Expectations:

  • Garnishes prepared food according to specification.
  • Ensures that plate presentations are neat, clean and to specification.
  • Efficiently places prepared food on trays for service to the guest.
  • Provides communication to servers and food runners to expedite trays to tables.
  • Communicates ticket times to management.
  • Communicates with kitchen staff to expedite re-cooks and resolving food issues.
  • Provides communication between servers and kitchen staff.
  • An active member of the service team committed to service that is indicative of
  • The company service standards.
  • Professional and neat presentation of self at all times with regard to dress, speech, demeanor and habits.
  • Thorough and complete product knowledge of all items on the menu and commitment to proper serving techniques.
  • Commitment to company sanitation standards regarding safe food handling.

Requirements

Physical Demands:

Continuous standing (100%), walking (80%), lifting (0-50 lbs.), carrying (0-50 lbs.), reaching, grasping/handling, pulling, bending, stooping/crouching and balancing.

Hazards:  Due to concern for the health and well-being of our staff, we ask that employees follow proper safety precautions at all times to avoid injuries.

 

Equipment Used:  Touch screen computer, ice machine, beverage machines, ice scoops, broom, dust pan, mops, tray stands, trays, microphone.

 

Job Requirements:  All employees will adhere to dress code procedures and performance standards to enhance professional image for the Guest.

 

Job Modifications:  This position can be modified by reduction of hours and shifts per week.

 

Skills Required:  Warm, genuine personality with strong communication, reading, writing and arithmetic skills.

 

Scheduling Requirements:  Shifts vary according to availability and needs.  Hourly demands range from 3-8 hours per shift.
